Embers Soccer Manga Set To Start On The Shonen Jump

This week, fiery football action kicked off in Weekly Shonen Jump with the debut of Embers, which is also available in English on the Shonen Jump app and MANGA Plus.

Embers is the first manga from writer Kei Kurumazaki and artist Sotaro Nishii, who was previously an assistant on the popular soccer manga BLUE LOCK.

To celebrate the release of Embers‘s first chapter, the official Japanese Shonen Jump YouTube channel published a video introducing the lead characters of the series.

Embers is available to read in English through VIZ Media and MANGA Plus. The series is described as follows:

Middle school brawler Noboru Haitani has never lost a fight. However, the sting of a soccer defeat slowly begins to spark his interest in the sport.

Eventually, Haitani finds himself up against a team featuring middle school soccer prodigy Takami. An outlaw makes his way into the world of soccer!
