Godzilla New Manga Set To Debut in Young Champion Magazine on May 27

Akita Publishing confirmed on Monday that Jyu Ishiguchi is creating a brand-new Godzilla manga for its Young Champion magazine.

The series’ official X account (formerly Twitter) teased that the manga is set to debut on May 27. The account was initially launched on November 3 to announce the series with a trailer and reveal the creators involved.

Renowned Godzilla designer Shinji Nishikawa will handle Godzilla’s design for the series, while Hiroshi Maruyama is responsible for designing the space monsters. Ishiguchi is also credited with the mecha design.

Ishiguchi has previously contributed design work for Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, its sequel The Marginal Service, and Fairy gone, among other projects.

Additionally, in 2015, Ishiguchi participated as a guest illustrator for Tsutomu Nihei’s Knights of Sidonia special book.
