The April issue of Square Enix’s G Fantasy magazine announced on Tuesday that Yana Toboso’s Black Butler manga will return from hiatus in the May issue, set for release on April 18.

The series initially went on hiatus in June 2024 to allow Toboso to conduct research and make preparations as the story approaches its climax.

Toboso launched the manga in G Fantasy in 2006. Square Enix released the 34th compiled volume of the series on April 26.

The newest television anime adaptation, Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc, is scheduled to premiere on April 5 on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV, with a simultaneous stream on ABEMA.
