On Sunday, Kadokawa began streaming a teaser trailer for the upcoming anime Classroom of the Elite: Year 2 (Yōkoso Jitsuryoku Shijō Shugi no Kyōshitsu e 2-nen Sei Hen). The anime will feature a returning cast and staff from previous seasons.
The first season of Classroom of the Elite premiered in July 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the series, while Funimation provided an English dub.
The second and third seasons adapted the complete first-year arc of the original light novel series:
- The second season premiered in July 2022 and was streamed by Crunchyroll under the title Classroom of the Elite II.
- The third season aired from January to March 2024, spanning 13 episodes and concluding the first-year arc. Crunchyroll streamed the season as it aired in Japan.

Kadokawa published the first volume of the original Classroom of the Elite light novel series in May 2015. Seven Seas is releasing both the novel series and its manga adaptation in English.
Classroom of the Elite: Year 2 (Yōkoso Jitsuryoku Shijō Shugi no Kyōshitsu e 2-nen Sei Hen) serves as a direct sequel to the original light novel series.
- The first volume of the sequel series debuted in Japan in January 2020, marking it as the 15th book overall (the original series includes three short story anthologies before the second-year arc begins).
- The series concluded with its 29th overall volume (designated as Volume 12.5 in the second-year arc) in November 2024.
- Seven Seas is also publishing the sequel novels in English.
