The anticipation for Dragon Ball Daima’s climactic confrontation is building as the latest episode sets the stage for a thrilling conclusion to the 40th-anniversary series.
Episode 12 of Dragon Ball Daima resumes the narrative directly from Episode 11, where the Kraken, a formidable sea creature, was about to swallow Vegeta.
Fortunately, the Saiyan Prince managed to escape just before succumbing to the depths of the Second Demon World. Although the previous episode hinted at Vegeta (Mini) facing a dire fate, Episode 12 delves into the reasons behind his struggles against Tamagami #2.

In less thrilling news for the audience, Dragon Ball’s latest anime entry is poised to kick off 2025 with a rather subdued start.
The ongoing storyline indicates an impending clash between the Saiyans and the duo of Arinsu and Gomah. Similar to Goku (Mini), Vegeta is adapting to his new child form, and Tamagami #2 represents his first major challenge since entering the Demon Realm.
Complicating the situation, Neva, the Elder Namekian, enhanced Tamagami’s abilities during their battle, making him a more formidable opponent for Vegeta.
Neva remarked, “They said they liked to fight,” as he empowered Tamagami. Fortunately for Vegeta, he was not left without an advantage; he transforms into a Super Saiyan 3 for the first time in the series.
According to Bulma’s brief insights, Vegeta has been training in solitude since his encounter with Kid Buu, and this fight with Tamagami #2 might have been the catalyst for his monumental transformation.
Meanwhile, the fight for the one-star Demon Realm Dragon Ball continues as Majin Duu faces off against Tamagami #1 in the First Demon World, where King Gomah and Degesu reside. Although Majin Duu possesses greater strength than his older sibling, Majin Kuu, he has a glaring weakness: his appetite.
Similar to the original Majin Buu, Majin Duu can be quite temperamental when deprived of his chocolate. Had it not been for Majin Kuu rushing to a demon convenience store for a bag of treats, Duu might have abandoned his match against Tamagami.
Their dynamic is further emphasized by Kuu’s mathematical prowess, which helped them secure the Demon Realm Dragon Ball from Tamagami #1.
With the collection of all the Demon Realm Dragon Balls, Gomah’s rule as the newly crowned Demon King appears to be precarious. The conclusion of the episode suggests Gomah will leave his throne, typically occupied by television-watching, to engage in the exposed action.
The preview for Episode 13, titled “Surprise,” hints at Goku and Vegeta encountering bizarre creatures in the First Demon World while Arinsu admires her newly acquired Dragon Ball.
In an important moment for the franchise, Dragon Ball Daima showcases Vegeta’s transformation into a Super Saiyan 3 for the first time during his battle with Tamagami.
Unfortunately, Dragon Ball Daima will take a week-long hiatus due to the Japanese New Year holidays. Episode 13 is scheduled for release on January 10, 2025. On that date, fans will be treated to a double feature as the anime’s English dub also premieres on Crunchyroll.
The official series description teases, “Goku and company were living peaceful lives when they suddenly turned small due to a conspiracy! When they discover that the reason for this may lie in a world known as the ‘Demon Realm,’ a mysterious young Majin named Glorio appears before them.”
