A huge achievement in Dragon Ball Daima as Vegeta demonstrates to audiences why the Prince of all Saiyans should never be underestimated. In Episode 12, he accomplishes the remarkable feat of transforming into Super Saiyan 3 at a young age.
This pivotal transformation occurs during his battle with Tamagami #2, set in the Second Demon World of the Demon Realm. The importance of this location lies in its inhabitants, which include massive sea monsters referred to as the Kraken.

Episode 11 ended on a gripping cliffhanger, leaving viewers with the impression that Vegeta (Mini) was on the verge of becoming a meal for one of these creatures.
In a slightly underwhelming update for fans, the latest installment of Dragon Ball will begin 2025 with a more subdued tone rather than an explosive start.
As the series progresses, Vegeta finally mirrors Goku’s transformation during the fight against Majin Buu in Dragon Ball Z.
The preview for Episode 12 had implied that Goku (Mini) would have to intervene for Vegeta, yet the young Saiyan Prince managed to regain his composure just in time to escape a watery fate.
This intense moment not only highlights Vegeta’s resilience but may also have propelled his skills to new heights. For the first time in the franchise, he achieves the Super Saiyan 3 form, confirmed by Japanese entertainment website Oricon to be identical to Goku’s transformation during his first encounter with Majin Buu.
Since its premiere in October, Dragon Ball Daima has been revitalizing the 40-year-old franchise, providing fresh insights into beloved characters.
The Supreme Kai and Piccolo serve as excellent examples of this transformation, as the series has revealed more about their races following Goku’s entry into the Demon Realm.
Piccolo’s storyline is especially interesting, with the show seemingly emphasizing the demonic aspects of the Namekians to better align with its fantasy themes.
While Goku enjoyed adventures with new allies, Vegeta lagged behind, but Episode 12 finally honors the Saiyan Prince with a transformation that is rarely highlighted in the mainline series, often overshadowed by the various Saiyan God forms.
The final volume cover for the Dragon Ball Super Gallery Project, which celebrates the series’ 40th anniversary, has been illustrated by the creator of One Piece.
Following Vegeta’s unexpected victory over Tamagami #2, the power dynamics among the Dragon Ball Daima cast will require another reassessment.
This transformation illustrates that being a child does not hinder the Saiyan race. Will we soon witness the emergence of Super Saiyan 4? Only time will reveal the answer.
New episodes of Dragon Ball Daima premiere every Friday on Crunchyroll, with the English dub featuring Stephanie Nadolny as Goku (Mini) set to debut in January 2025.
The series is also available on Hulu and Netflix. The official description teases, “Goku and company were living peaceful lives when they suddenly turned small due to a conspiracy!
When they discover that the reason for this may lie in a world known as the ‘Demon Realm,’ a mysterious young Majin named Glorio appears before them.”
