Fans of horror manga have long celebrated the unsettling works of Junji Ito, and an exciting event is returning to thrill them once more. A pop-up store dedicated to body horror is poised to greet the new year with an eerie atmosphere.
Thanks to its immense popularity, the Junji Ito Pop-Up Store will return to Japan as 2024 comes to an end. Filled with creepy merchandise inspired by the legendary manga artist, the store aims to launch early 2025 with a distinctly chilling vibe.

Fans from around the world can rejoice, as many of the featured products will offer international shipping, ensuring that horror enthusiasts everywhere can partake in the experience.
The original Junji Ito Pop-Up Store, which made its debut earlier this year just in time for Halloween, is set to return to Tokyo’s HANDS Shinjuku Store. Alongside previously available merchandise like manga panel stickers, shoppers will also discover new additions, including a humorously eerie “Baby on Board” sticker.
This sticker, featuring a chilling image of a baby in a stroller, showcases Ito’s distinctive art style. The designs are influenced by a variety of Ito’s horror manga, such as Tomie and Lovesickness.
The pop-up shop will offer 12 unique products, ranging in price from $4 to $50. Shoppers can choose from items like t-shirts, bucket hats, eye masks, umbrellas, and more. Running from Dec. 30, 2024, to Jan. 22, 2025, this event allows fans to conclude the festive season and welcome the new year with a touch of horror.
For those outside Japan, items can be purchased through the Hakaba no Garou website, with ZenMarket providing shipping services worldwide. This year has also seen Junji Ito’s work receive heightened recognition, including a crossover between Tomie and Hello Kitty, along with an anime adaptation of Uzumaki.
