Future Kid Takara Anime Reveal New Visual, Cast & Premiere Date

The highly anticipated original anime Future Kid Takara, a collaboration between STUDIO4°C and NHK Enterprises, which was successfully crowdfunded in 2023, has unveiled a fresh look at its climate change-focused story. A new teaser poster and video were released today, offering a glimpse into the series.

Additionally, it was announced that Yuki Kaji will voice the titular Takara, while ten-year-old Honoka Yoshida will portray Sara. The series will consist of 11 five-minute episodes.

The world premiere is scheduled to take place at Osaka’s EXPO Hall on September 25, 2025.

To further build excitement, the official teaser poster and character visuals for Future Kid Takara were also released.

Directed by Yuta Sano (Berserk: The Golden Age Arc – Memorial Edition), Future Kid Takara features a screenplay by Shinji Obara (Samurai Champloo) and original character designs by Shinji Kimura (Children of the Sea art director).

Story Overview

This sci-fi adventure follows Sara, a young girl who finds herself transported to the year 2100, only to discover a world devastated by climate change.

In this harsh dystopian future, she must join forces with Takara, a boy who helps her navigate the bleak and dangerous landscape in a quest for survival.

In line with its climate-conscious message, STUDIO4ºC has committed to reducing CO₂ emissions during the anime’s production.
