The official website for the television anime adaptation of Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! (Mushoku no Eiyū: Betsu ni Skill Nanka Iranakattan da ga), the novel series written by Shichio Kuzu and illustrated by Yumehito Ueda, unveiled new details on Monday.
The announcement included the lead voice actor, main staff members, a teaser visual, and confirmation that the anime will premiere in 2025. Kenshō Ono has been cast as the voice of the protagonist, Allele.
Kaoru Yabana, known for his episode directing work on The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human and I’ve Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills, will direct the anime at Studio A-Cat. Chabo Higurashi (Memories Off 3.5, AMAZING STRANGER) is overseeing and writing the series scripts.
Additionally, Hiroto Morishita will serve as the sound director, and Kento Asahina is composing the music.

Story Synopsis
One Peace Books, which is publishing the English version of the manga adaptation, describes the story as follows:
In a world where everyone receives a Class and Skills at the age of ten, and where such revelations have a huge impact on one’s life, Arel, the son of Sword Princess Farah and Archmage Leon, learns that he has… no class at all!
With no class, and no skills, all that’s left for Arel is hard work. And so, he takes to training, utilizing wits and cunning to emerge as an all-new type of hero!
Publication History
The novel series originally debuted on the Shōsetsu-ka ni Narou (“Let’s Be Novelists”) website in November 2017. Earth Star Entertainment began publishing the series in July 2018 and released the fourth volume in June 2019.
A manga adaptation by Akio Nanae began serialization in Comic Earth Star in November 2018. The eighth compiled manga volume was released in June 2024, and the ninth volume is scheduled for release on Wednesday. One Peace Books published the first English volume of the manga in October 2024.
