(Mezametara Saikyō Sōbi to Uchūsen Mochi Datta no de, Ikkodate Mezashite Yōhei Toshite Jiyū ni Ikitai), a light novel series written by Ryūto and illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. However, Kadokawa has not yet revealed any additional details regarding the adaptation.

Story Synopsis (via Seven Seas Entertainment):

Seven Seas Entertainment has acquired the rights to both the light novel series and its manga adaptation, describing the story as follows:

Satou Takahiro is suddenly transported from his mundane daily life into the universe of his favorite video game—a vast expanse filled with interstellar colonies, intense space battles, and endless danger.

Now living as the mercenary “Hiro,” he finds himself piloting a heavily armed spaceship with a beautiful companion by his side.

Reborn as a Space Mercenary

As he takes on space pirates, rescues damsels in distress, and dives headfirst into adventure, Hiro is determined to make the most of his thrilling new existence!

Publication History:

Ryūto first began publishing the story as a web novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) website in February 2019, where it remains ongoing.

Kadokawa released the first printed volume in July 2019, featuring illustrations by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. The publisher released the 13th novel volume in September 2024 and is set to publish the 14th volume on February 10. Meanwhile, Seven Seas released the 11th novel volume on January 2.

Manga Adaptation:

The series was also adapted into a manga by Shinichi Matsui, which began serialization on ComicWalker (now Kadocomi) in November 2019. Kadokawa published the ninth compiled volume on January 23, while Seven Seas released the seventh volume in June 2024.
