Magical Girl Site Spinoff Manga

Manga author Kentarō Satō took to their X/Twitter account on Monday to reshare the August 2023 announcement of a Magical Girl Site spinoff manga, stating, “Sorry for keeping you waiting, it is about time.” However, the post did not provide any further details about the spinoff.

The spinoff manga was originally revealed as part of the Magical Girl Site manga’s 10th anniversary project.

Satō, known for Magical Girl Apocalypse, first launched the Magical Girl Site horror manga on Akita Shoten’s Champion Tap! website in July 2013. The series later transitioned to Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine in September 2017 and concluded in 2019 with a total of 16 compiled volumes.

Seven Seas Entertainment released the manga in English. The series also inspired a television anime that aired from April to June 2018, with Amazon Prime Video streaming it outside Japan.

Satō’s manga Immortality and Punishment (Fushi to Batsu) is set to conclude on Wednesday. Akita Shoten will release the series’ eighth and final compiled volume later this spring. The manga debuted in Bessatsu Shōnen Champion in November 2021.

In addition, Satō and Arata Miyatsuki launched the horror suspense manga Bokura no Natsu ga Saketeiku (Summer’s Gonna Tear Us Apart) in Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine in 2023. The third compiled volume was published on January 29.
