To commemorate the announcement, special celebratory artwork was released, featuring lead characters Medaka Kuroiwa and Mona Kawai smiling at the audience while throwing up peace signs.

The original Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms manga, written and illustrated by Ran Kuze, has been serialized by Kodansha in Weekly Shonen Magazine since May 2021.

The first season is available for streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms as follows:

Synopsis

For Mona Kawai, winning hearts and turning heads has always come naturally. But everything changes when Medaka Kuroiwa, a mysterious new transfer student, arrives at school.

Unlike everyone else, he doesn’t seem the least bit interested in Mona, refusing to even give her a second glance.

His indifference throws Mona’s world into chaos, sparking a competitive obsession. Determined to make him fall for her, she pulls out every trick in the book—even if it means resorting to extreme measures!

In this hilarious and heartwarming romantic comedy, a queen bee meets an unshakable challenger, setting the stage for a battle of charm and resistance within the school’s lively halls.
