The TV anime adaptation of the romantic comedy manga Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms has officially wrapped up its first season with the airing of Episode 12.
Following the broadcast, the series’ official X (formerly Twitter) account confirmed that a second season is currently in production. However, at the time of reporting, a release date for the new season had not been announced.
To commemorate the announcement, special celebratory artwork was released, featuring lead characters Medaka Kuroiwa and Mona Kawai smiling at the audience while throwing up peace signs.
The original Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms manga, written and illustrated by Ran Kuze, has been serialized by Kodansha in Weekly Shonen Magazine since May 2021.
To date, 18 collected volumes have been published in Japan. Kodansha USA also publishes an English-language version of the series.
The anime adaptation is helmed by Yoshiaki Okumura, with SynergySP handling animation production.
