MF Ghost Set To Get Season 3 in 2026 As Manga Reaches End

Although the MF GHOST manga is reaching its conclusion with the final chapter published on February 17, 2025, in issue 12 of Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine, new opportunities await as MF GHOST Season 3 is set to air in Japan in 2026.

To commemorate the end of the manga, a special video has been released (below), along with a special illustration by the anime’s character designer and chief animation director, Naoyuki Onda.

Kodansha publishes the original MF GHOST manga by Shuichi Shigeno in their Weekly Young Magazine seinen manga publication. The English-language version of the series is also published by Kodansha USA.

The TV anime adaptation is directed by Tomohito Naka at animation studio FelixFilm, with Kenichi Yamashita overseeing the series composition, Naoyuki Onda handling character designs, and Akio Dobashi composing the music.

The artwork showcases the main cast of pit crew and drivers, all gathered around the camera frame, smiling, waving, winking, and giving thumbs-up gestures.

In Japan, self-driving electric automobiles have become the norm, making most gas-powered engines obsolete by 202X. However, the fastest cars continue to thrive in the MFG, an elite racing circuit set on Japanese highways.

Competitors from across the globe gather to race for the ultimate title. Kanata Rivington returns from Britain to Japan not only to compete in the MFG but also to search for his father. Will he claim the championship and uncover the truth? Get ready to buckle up and push it to the limit!
