Fans of Mission: Yozakura Family have more exciting content to look forward to, as a new novel has been officially announced!
This upcoming release marks the third novel in the franchise. The first novel debuted in July 2023, followed by the second in April 2024.
Both novels feature extra chapters that aren’t essential to the main plot but enrich the story and characters, offering fans additional insights into the Yozakura family’s world.
The new novel is titled Hifumi to Alpha no Seichou Kiroku-hen (loosely translated as Growth Records of Hifumi and Alpha) and is scheduled for release on March 4, 2025. Denki Eido, who authored the previous two novels, is once again taking the reins for this installment.
Yozakura Family Recently Concluded in Shonen Jump
The Mission: Yozakura Family manga officially ended its serialization a few weeks ago in Weekly Shonen Jump. While it wasn’t one of the magazine’s flagship titles, the series earned praise for its solid storytelling.

Its end has been well-received by fans, especially compared to the endings of larger franchises like Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia, which sparked significant criticism despite their broader popularity.
When Will the Final Volume Be Released?
The manga wrapped up its storyline last Sunday, and its final compiled volume is set to release on March 4, 2025—the same day as the new novel.
This simultaneous release suggests that Shonen Jump is experimenting with a new strategy to keep fans engaged with the series even after its conclusion. This approach could signal plans for future content tied to the franchise.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that compiled volumes, especially final ones, often include bonus material. There’s a strong possibility that the final volume may feature an epilogue or additional chapters to provide closure or new perspectives on the story.
For fans who prefer the anime adaptation, Mission: Yozakura Family is available for streaming on Hulu and Disney+, with a second season confirmed for 2026.
