The production team behind Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra has announced in a new promotional video released on Saturday that the smartphone game is set to launch on iOS and Android devices on March 27.
To commemorate the announcement and the achievement of 800,000 pre-registrations, the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account will release special wallpaper images.
The theme song, titled “lighthouse,” will be performed by FictionJunction, featuring LINO LEIA as the main vocalist.
Additionally, the game’s animated opening, produced by SHAFT, will make its debut at the Magia Exedra booth during AnimeJapan 2025 on March 22.
Originally slated for release last year, Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra was delayed to allow the development team to refine the game and ensure higher quality. Alongside its mobile launch, the game will also be available on PC via Steam.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica Magia: Exedra Game
The game is being developed by Pokelabo (Assault Lily: Last Bullet, SINoALICE) and f4samurai (Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Lost Stories, Ange Vierge -Re:Link-). Pokelabo is overseeing the game’s administration, while Aniplex is responsible for planning and distribution.
The previous Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story smartphone game was originally released for iOS and Android in Japan in August 2017 as a free-to-play title with optional in-game purchases.
The English version launched in the United States and Canada in June 2019 but was discontinued in September 2020. The Japanese version of Magia Record officially ended service on PC on July 1, and for iOS and Android on July 3.
The game inspired a television anime adaptation, which premiered in January 2020. The anime’s second season aired in July 2021, followed by the third and final season in April 2022.
