The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows
Story Synopsis (via J-Novel Club):
Life has never been easy for Zenos. Born into poverty in the slums, his background has denied him nearly every opportunity. However, after encountering a healer, he becomes determined to master the craft. Through relentless self-study, he finally gets a break when an adventurer invites him to join a party.
Zenos is overjoyed—so much so that he tolerates his teammates’ mistreatment, convinced that his healing skills will secure his place. But his companions fail to recognize his value and, believing he’s outlived his usefulness, abandon him.
With no money and nowhere to turn, Zenos decides to use his self-taught healing abilities in a different way—by opening an underground clinic. Soon, word spreads of a mysterious healer performing extraordinary magic in the city’s dark underbelly. Even the royal palace begins to take notice…
Can Zenos defy the odds and build a future for himself in a world that has done nothing but cast him aside? And more importantly, can he save those who come to him in their time of need?
Background & Publication:
