During the AnimeJapan 2025 stage event celebrating the fifth anniversary of the Tokyo Revengers anime, it was revealed on Saturday that the next arc will be titled Tokyo Revengers: Santen Sensō-hen (Tokyo Revengers: War of the Three Titans). The announcement also included a new visual and an updated cast for the anime.
Maki Kodaira (The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse) is taking over as director at LIDEN FILMS, replacing Koichi Hatsumi, who will now collaborate in overseeing the series scripts.
New additions to the character design team include Airi Tsuyuki and Kae Takakura, who join returning designers Keiko Ōta and Kenichi Ōnuki. (Tsuyuki and Takakura previously worked as animation directors on the series.)
Other staff changes include:
- Yoshitomo Hara joining Hideki Fukushima as bike and prop designer
- Kōji Ietaka replacing Hisayoshi Yamamoto as compositing director of photography
- LIDEN FILMS handling 3D CG work
Returning staff members include:
- Yasuyuki Mutō (series composition)
- Rumi Matsumoto (art director)
- Kunio Tsujita (color key artist)
- Satoki Iida (sound director)
- Hiroaki Tsutsumi (music composer)
Previous Seasons and Manga History
The third season of the anime, Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku Arc (Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku-hen), premiered in Japan in October 2023. Disney+ streamed the anime exclusively worldwide, except for Mainland China.
The original Tokyo Revengers manga by Ken Wakui was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Magazine from March 2017 to November 2022.

Tokyo Revengers New Arc
The magazine is currently publishing Tokyo Revengers Extra, a spinoff manga that focuses on the founders of the Tokyo Manji Gang.
Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing the manga in English and describes the story as follows:
Watching the news, Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his girlfriend from way back in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, has died. The only girlfriend he ever had was just killed by a villainous group known as the Tokyo Manji Gang.
He lives in a crappy apartment with thin walls, and his six-years-younger boss treats him like an idiot. Plus, he’s a complete and total virgin … At the height of his rock-bottom life, he suddenly time-leaps twelve years back to his middle school days!!
To save Hinata, and change the life he spent running away, hopeless part-timer Takemichi must aim for the top of Kanto’s most sinister delinquent gang!!
Anime and Live-Action Adaptations
The first Tokyo Revengers television anime debuted in April 2021, with Crunchyroll streaming the series as it aired in Japan. The Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown Arc premiered in January 2023, running for 13 episodes. Both Disney+ and Hulu streamed the arc simultaneously.
The franchise also expanded into live-action films. The first movie adaptation premiered in July 2021, becoming the #1 live-action film in Japan that year. Crunchyroll is streaming the film.
Two sequel live-action films were released in 2023:
- Chi no Halloween -Unmei- (Bloody Halloween -Fate-) debuted in April 2023
- Chi no Halloween -Kessen- (Bloody Halloween -Decisive Battle-) followed in June 2023
