The eighth issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, released on Monday, revealed that Yoshifumi Tozuka’s Undead Unluck manga will reach its “climax” in the ninth issue on January 27.
While Weekly Shonen Jump sometimes uses the term “climax” to refer to the final chapter of a series, it has not been confirmed whether the manga will conclude in the upcoming issue.
The chapter next week will feature a color page and will be 26 pages long.
Tozuka originally published Undead Unluck as a one-shot in Weekly Shonen Jump in January 2019 before launching the serialized version in January 2020.
Viz Media began releasing the manga digitally in January 2020 and started its print publication in May 2021. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus service also offers the manga digitally.

Undead Unluck Manga
Viz Media provides the following description for the first volume:
All Fuuko wants is a passionate romance like the one in her favorite shojo manga. Unfortunately, her Unluck ability makes that impossible. But just as Fuuko hits rock bottom, Andy sweeps her off her feet—literally!
Now, she’s become Andy’s unwilling test subject as he tries to trigger a stroke of Unluck big enough to kill him for good. However, when the pair discovers a secret organization is hunting them, Andy’s burial plans are put on hold.
The manga ranked #14 on the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2021 list of manga for male readers and won the sixth “Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō” (Up-and-Coming Manga Awards) in August 2020.
A television anime adaptation of Undead Unluck premiered in October 2023, streaming on Hulu, and concluded with its 24th episode in March 2024.
Additionally, a new one-hour anime special is set to debut in winter 2025. The special will feature a completely original story written by Tozuka, who also designed a new UMA creature for the episode.
