The high-intensity live-action coming-of-age series Weak Hero Class 1, which follows model student Si-eun Yeon as he takes a stand against violence alongside his first real friends, Soo-ho and Beom-seok, is set to launch globally on Netflix on March 25.
The first season originally premiered exclusively on the Korean streaming platform Wavve, where it achieved significant success. Building on that momentum, Weak Hero Class 2 is scheduled to debut in the second quarter of 2025 on Netflix.
The sequel will explore Si-eun Yeon’s new challenges after transferring to Eunjang High School, still grappling with the trauma of failing to protect his friends.
Determined never to experience such a loss again, he encounters even greater violence, leading to an intense fight for survival and a powerful story of personal growth.
The upcoming season will introduce a lineup of new characters. Ryeoun, Min-young Choi, and Min Jae Lee will portray Si-eun’s new friends at Eunjang High. Additionally, Soo-bin Yoo, who played a significant antagonist in the first season, is confirmed to reprise his role.
For those interested in the original story, the English version of the Weak Hero webtoon is available on WEBTOON. The series, created by SEOPASS and illustrated by RAZEN, was serialized between 2019 and 2023.
